3 Amazing Dogs in Greensboro, NC

Dogs are amazing creatures. They have been by our side for thousands of years, and in that time they have evolved from hunting partners (which may be why they're called dogs), into some of the most loyal and loving companions we could ask for. Here in Greensboro, North Carolina, there are some particularly amazing dogs that have been making headlines recently for their heroic acts and adorable antics.

1. Charlie – The Duck-Saving Dog

Charlie is a golden retriever who lives near Robbins Park in Greensboro. Recently, Charlie made headlines when he noticed some baby ducks that had fallen into a drainage hole in the middle of a pond. Without hesitation, Charlie leapt into the water and started swimming towards the ducks.

The hole was too deep for Charlie to stand in, so he had to swim the entire way. When he finally reached the ducks, he gently herded them back to shore where their mother was waiting for them. "He's just such a good boy," owner said. "I'm so proud of him."

2. Susie – The Pit Bull Who Survived Abuse

Susie is a pit bull-shepherd mix who was found beaten, severely burned, and abandoned in a park in Greensboro. Thankfully, Susie was rescued by some good Samaritans and taken to an animal hospital. After months of treatment, Susie finally recovered and was put up for adoption.

Susie’s story quickly made headlines, and she was eventually adopted by a loving family. Today, Susie is living proof that dogs can overcome even the worst abuse and go on to lead happy, healthy lives.

3. Mochie - reunited with owner in Greensboro after a year apart

Mochie was so excited to see Tinae again that he couldn’t stop wagging his tail! " Mochie has been my saving grace during difficult times," said Tinae. "I don't know what I would do without her."
